Multi-drop Delivery Driver / Sanitiser – Derby, DE73 8DG

Edgar’s Water, one of the largest independent suppliers of water coolers and bottled water in England, has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-drop Delivery Driver / Sanitiser to join the team. We are looking for someone to deliver water bottles and sanitise / deliver water coolers to business customers across the region from the Derby depot.

 

This position will involve heavy lifting of 19-litre water bottles both manually and with the provision of lifting equipment. You will be provided with a delivery vehicle and the necessary staff uniform and PPE.

 

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30 am until 4.30pm. Typically 42.5 hours per week, however, you may be required to complete other duties as requested to suit the needs of the business.

Requirements:

Bottling Plant Supervisor/Operative Marden

Reporting to the Bottling Plant Manager, duties will include;

  • Supervision of the bottling plant staff
  • Ordering materials and coordinating any sub-contract services
  • Maintenance of the plant (training provided)
  • Coordinating sub-contract labour ‘/ temporary staff where required
  • Maintaining and recording daily water stocks levels
  • Shift planning to meet water production demands
  • Coordinating water deliveries to Edgar’s UK depots
  • Coordinating water testing in line with industry guidelines
  • Coordinating water extraction and deliveries from Edgar’s water source
  • Operating bottling plant and working alternate required shift patterns where required
  • Counterbalance forklift driving in plant and to load and unload vehicles.
  • Working on bottling plant; inspection of water bottles and handling 19 litre (19kg) bottles of water throughout the day, involving heavy lifting and twisting.
  • Bottling plant start-up and lock down process, observing strict safe working practices.
  • Basic computing skills required as use of email, internet, spreadsheets and word will be required
  • Full training provided including manual handling, hygiene awareness and attendance of BWCA Operators course off site within 6 months of employment.

The successful applicant will have drive and a positive approach to production and service to ensure Edgar’s maintains correct stock levels to service end users with a constant supply of water. Eye to detail and good communication skills important forklift license preferable with key skills being reliability, punctuality, good presentation / hygiene practice and capable of being a key part of a production team. Flexibility to work overtime hours when required is advantageous.

Working Hours will be: Monday to Friday on an alternating weekly shift pattern. (Shift pattern will flex according to workloads) you may be required to complete other duties as requested to suit the needs of the business.
