The Distribution Manager is to acquire vehicles that have stop/start technology where possible or give reasons for providing vehicles without.
Drivers will be instructed on driving techniques to save fuel and help the environment through the driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training.
The Distribution Manager is to make sure 90% of customers are placed on delivery routes to limit wasted journeys.
Drivers are to re-fuel at designated fuel stations that are at the most economic location to the depots to prevent waste usage.
The Accounts department will check all fuel receipts and meet with the distribution manager every month to monitor costs and comparisons.
