Edgar’s Water supporting charities
Over the years, Edgar’s Water has raised over £100,000 for Barnardos – a charity dedicated to help vulnerable children and young people. We have also made sizeable donations to Marie Curie and Help for Heroes. Employees of Edgar’s Water raise money throughout the year by joining in Wear it Red Day for British Heart Foundation, Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer Research, Jeans for Genes Day for Genetics Disorders UK, Sport Relief and Comic Relief.
At Edgar’s Water we do everything we can to support local and national charities but sadly we cannot possibly donate to every request we regularly receive. Two of our chosen charities are St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House, and the British Heart Foundation:
St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House are two hospices located close to Edgar’s Water, Shoreham Depot. Edgar’s Water are proud to help with all their in house events by donating water and sometimes boxes of fresh fruit. Below is a list of the many events that are run to raise money for St Barnabas House adults’ hospice, which provides specialist palliative care to adults with life-limiting illnesses both at the hospice and in the comfort of patients’ homes across West Sussex, and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, which cares for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-shortening conditions across East and West Sussex.

We have been proud sponsors of the London to Brighton Bike Ride for many years. The London to Brighton Bike Ride is a 54 mile event which follows a route from Clapham Common in London through the Surrey and Sussex countryside, ending in Brighton. Traditionally taking place on a Sunday in mid June, the weather can often be quite hot, so it essential to hydrate the cyclists after a long gruelling ride as they touch the finishing line. The Edgar’s Water team have worked hard over the years handing out over 24,000 bottles of water to the cyclists as they finish the bike ride. It is a great day to be involved in and there is such a tremendous sense of achievement and success as the cyclists cross the finishing line. Edgar’s Water continue to support the British Heart Foundation.
